The problem is that now all those who have succumbed to the voodoo spell are going to want to go after those incredulous souls who have contempt for the witchdoctor and wave their middlefinger at voodoo. A lose/lose proposition. And that's why witchdoctors have survived the middle-age and are still walking around, albeit in lab coats today.

Also, many symbols have been perverted and reversed from their original intent...but i don't expect many to know that as they are programmed by their own beliefs and not the Truth.
