Your "god" is all knowing and all powerful, according to you. So "he" (
notice how he has to be a male, because females were considered no more
important than cattle back then ) knew that "satan" would try and
corrupt man. He knew this before he even "created" him.
Knowing
this, he still "created him" and he still created a "hell" to lock him
up in, although that seemed not to work becuase he still has power of
man apparently. He also created man, who he knew would sin, and arrange
for man to either love him without question, or burn in that same hell,
