Yang Style Tai Chi - Staff Form

⁣First few moves (slow) of the Yang Style Tai Chi Staff Form of Yang Lu-chan.

The original Yang Staff was actually shorter than the more modern Staff used by most people today.
It should be no longer than from the ground up to your armpit. This means the Staff can be moved around more easily and quickly and spun under the arms.
The much longer Staff used by most people was originally meant to represent a Spear. At some point the tip of the Spear was simply removed for obvious safety reasons during practice and over time, people began to think of it as just a Staff.
