Alan Bennett's debut play for the BBC, first screened 24th Dec 1972,
directed by the brilliant Stephen Frears (hot from the set of
'Gumshoe').
I used to know Paul Shane, would sometimes take him home from the pub,
ever-so-slightly inebriated, and apparently I was the only person who
would ever ask him about making this wonderful film. Turned up as I was
going through some old discs, saw it wasn't to be found on the internet,
and thought to rectify that immediately. Enjoy..!
I claim no copyright, only wishing to share my enjoyment of this with
others.
