⁣So what happened tp the West? Why are both America and Canada, Europe and Australia in such social and political disarray? I think I know the answer. Ours is a civilization built upon Greek philosophy and the ethics of both Judaism and Christianity, the ten commandments and the Beatitudes. Many of you will know the opening lines of St John's gospel, "In the Beginning was the Word, And the Word was with God, And the Word was God..." Christ is the Word, the Logos, the light of reason. But a post-Christian society is obviously one that has rejected the Word, the Logos. We have, despite so much intellectualism, abandoned reason and now, we inhabit a world of relative values, identity politics, competing groups instead of a unified nation anchored around a firm core of ethical values. Our intellectual life has drifted into the void of post-modern nihilism, deconstructionism and abrasive biology-denying feminism. We are on the brink of total collapse and this pandemic farce will take us further into the wilderness. Clearly, nefarious forces are busy at work with an insane plan to save the planet by a covert sterilizing of the young and euthanizing of the old. Don't imagine for one minute that Covid killed off the elderly in the hospitals and care homes. Much else was going on besides. As Dostoevsky once remarked, "If there is no God, anything is permissible." For many in our world, there is no God and as the late Christian apologist, Malcom Muggeridge, has said: ⁣“If God is dead, somebody is going to have to take his place. It will be megalomania or erotomania, the drive for power or the drive for pleasure, the clenched fist or the phallus, Hitler or Hugh Hefner.” Since the Sexual Revolution of the Sixties, we have continued to abase ourselves in the pursuit of 'the ecstasy of the animals' to borrow a line from T.S. Eliot. Now the globalist cabal behind the World Econmic Forum are coming down on us with the clenched fist. This time, the clenched fist clutches a syringe instead of a cudgel. How civilized of the them! Christ is described in the Acts of the Apostles as 'the cornerstone the builders have rejected at their peril.' Now we are in deadly peril and many of us cannot see it. This is an even greater peril than either Nazism or Soviet tyranny. Then, at least, we possessed the moral courage to resist even at the cost of much bloodshed. We must once more find the moral courage to fight a very sinister, very powerful enemy. Some beast is clearly intending to put its mark upon us in order that we become reduced to mere consumers, digital serfs or even worse, livestock.
