the reason UK is still doing nothing is mainly because the most common answer if you question them is "i'm just following the rules" even when they have heard and might agree to some extent that masks are bad for your health.the same would probably apply if you asked them "why don't you just open your shop and ignore the nonsense." especially if they're not particularly bothered about mixing with non mask wearers and i know a few of them, and to be fair unless it's country wide they could end up losing their busnesses.
