God Gave 3 Unilateral Covenants To Abraham. Why? – Seeing The Future Using Bible History (22 of 26)
Series 211 - Looking Ahead After Looking Behind
About this video:
A unilateral covenant is a one-sided covenant. When God said “I promise, I will never send a flood to destroy the earth again” that was a unilateral covenant. It’s not incumbent on man's behavior. God just said of himself “I promise you I will never do that again”, and that's what made him so mad when they built the Tower of Babel. A unilateral covenant is a one-sided promise, it’s not based on mutual participation, it's not based on mutual agreement; it is one-sided — unilateral.
You hear statements in politics “a unilateral move” that means one side of the table does something on its own — what it wants to do. A unilateral covenant means one-sided. A bilateral covenant is a mutual or two-sided covenant. God said “Abraham, I love you so much I would like to have a whole world full of little Abraham-ites. Aren’t you glad they're called Israelites instead of Abrahamites? Abrahamites would be more correct. Abraham believed even though he couldn't see the evidence. That’s a man of faith! Let me explain....
Wake-up America Seminars is a non-profit / non-prophet organization. We are dedicated solely to proclaiming the imminent return of Jesus Christ. We are not affiliated, endorsed, nor sponsored by any religious organization; we, quite frankly, haven't found one that would have us. This is not a clandestine method of getting you to join a church because Wake-up America seminars is not a church — we have no prisoners (members). We are an organization that is dedicated to education. Our mission is to inspire and encourage people into the Word of God, and what church may mean to you or what church may be to you is something between you and your Lord. Finally, the basis for the views presented in this seminar is limited to the Bible; the only authority that I except for matters in doctrine and spiritual guidance come from the Bible.
