God Uses A Total Of Ten Clocks For Measuring Time – Seeing The Future Using Bible History (23 of 26)
Series 211 - Looking Ahead After Looking Behind
About this video:
A clock is simply an instrument, a device, for measuring time. And I believe that God, when he created this world, created time. I believe that occurred on the first day “And the evening and the morning were the first day”. Time is an interesting commodity when you really stop to think about it. You can't see it, taste it, touch it, or feel it; you can't box it, you can't stop it, you just can't... there's nothing you can do except deal with it.
And so as I began to look at time and timing from what God has done, I then began to concern myself with the synchrony of time. If time is going to have any meaning, it has to have synchrony. This morning, this meeting was synchronized to occur at ten o'clock. And this meeting can be plotted on a timeline at 10am, August 4, 2001. We give meaning to things by marking the passage of time.
How many of you remember your 16th birthday? How about your 66th birthday? Time is an amazing thing, and God's Sabbath is an interesting element of time. He puts in the Sabbath to start a weekly cycle and then suddenly shut it down. If he had never established the seventh day and had just given us a routine of six days, the passage of time would have been lost; the measurement of time would have become unknown, but it's that Sabbath that constantly interrupts all of life. It stops everything just when you get it going good.
I have this suspicion... I can't prove it, but, I have the suspicion that our last day on earth will be Sabbath — A day of rest. Now, there's a story behind this... Let me explain....
Wake-up America Seminars is a non-profit / non-prophet organization. We are dedicated solely to proclaiming the imminent return of Jesus Christ. We are not affiliated, endorsed, nor sponsored by any religious organization; we, quite frankly, haven't found one that would have us. This is not a clandestine method of getting you to join a church because Wake-up America seminars is not a church — we have no prisoners (members). We are an organization that is dedicated to education. Our mission is to inspire and encourage people into the Word of God, and what church may mean to you or what church may be to you is something between you and your Lord. Finally, the basis for the views presented in this seminar is limited to the Bible; the only authority that I except for matters in doctrine and spiritual guidance come from the Bible.
