Two possibilities: GMO crops, which they want to use to corner food sales globally -- so there will only be one food -- theirs; and medicinal crops, and by that I do not mean things occurring in nature, like tree bark, health tea or cannabis; I mean, like the experiment they are doing now in Mexico in which they put vaccines into plants. Or who knows what else.

Nothing for the regular person's actual health benefit, but for their control and impoverishment, is my guess.
