iPod touch 2019 7G - but does it sound good?
***NOTE: the 2nd "spoiler: it don't" should actually be "spoiler: it do". The iPod touch 2019 is more than capable of running high-current loads at high volumes. It eats the Ultrasone ED8 for breakfast. Alas, my editor didn't eat his. Apologies. ***
Yep, I bought one. Yep, it cost more than I care to share. I'm probably an idiot. If you want to join the ranks of idiocracy, hit up Apple.com and look for Music, then iPod. Even they've forgotten about it.
Market-derived rancour aside, the iPod touch is as good in current year plus four as anything can be. You'll never listen for long to music louder than 100dB, and the iPod touch 2019 nails that. It also does a damn fine job under load, deviating less than 0,3dB for the metrics audiophiles most often quote. Add a NextDrive Spectra X and you've got better than AK380 performance for a fraction of the price.
