Jesus Is The Creator Of All We See Around Us – Seeing The Future Using Bible History (19 of 26)
Series 211 - Looking Ahead After Looking Behind
About this video:
The weekly cycle that we observe today is aligned with creation week. And how do we know that to be true? It’s very simple: at the time of creation God established seven days, and the seventh day was his Sabbath. We jump forward 2500 years to the time of the Exodus and God confirms which day of the week his Sabbath is, because what happens on the Sabbath for 40 years? There is no manna. And you know what, before the manna fell everybody knew what day of the week it was. Isn’t that interesting? Even before God confirms it, everybody knew what day of the week it was.
And, in fact, from Exodus 12:41 we can know the ancients kept very good records. We know that Noah entered the Ark at a very specific time. The Bible tells us the very day and month and year! These weren’t a bunch of nincompoops, the ancients were very intelligent people. You might say it takes a nincompoop to depend on Timex because I can't read the celestial bodies to tell what time it is, I've got to read this little thing on my wrist, but they could read the celestial bodies! They navigated by it. They understood it. They marked and measured time by it. They kept very careful track of it.
This is why I say, and why I believe, that the genealogical records given in Genesis are highly accurate. God gave Moses the information about what took place before the flood. Moses, when he wrote the book of Genesis, he was not an eyewitness to creation. Nobody was. Nobody was there. Nobody saw it. Adam and Eve show up on the sixth day. When God gave this information to Moses and he wrote it down, I believe that God did so to give us a tracking of time. And when the Bible says that Adam was 130 years when Seth was born, I believe it.
Let me explain....
Wake-up America Seminars is a non-profit / non-prophet organization. We are dedicated solely to proclaiming the imminent return of Jesus Christ. We are not affiliated, endorsed, nor sponsored by any religious organization; we, quite frankly, haven't found one that would have us. This is not a clandestine method of getting you to join a church because Wake-up America seminars is not a church — we have no prisoners (members). We are an organization that is dedicated to education. Our mission is to inspire and encourage people into the Word of God, and what church may mean to you or what church may be to you is something between you and your Lord. Finally, the basis for the views presented in this seminar is limited to the Bible; the only authority that I except for matters in doctrine and spiritual guidance come from the Bible.
