⁣A valiant attempt shown here but I think there was unnecessary engaging with them. To continue to converse with them can be deemed by them as contract (they're also
videotaping the exchange) or can trip you up and inadvertently give them joinder. Be civil but firm with them. Ask them these questions and make these statements.
"What law am I breaking?"
"Are you detaining me?"
"Are you arresting me?"
"If so, I have the right to know what law I am breaking."
If they mention Covid laws: "Those are Parliamentary Acts, government regulations and guidelines and are NOT Legislated Law nor mandatory."
"I do not give my consent to be detained, arrested or charged by you."
"I do not wish to contract with you."
"I do not understand you." or "I do not stand under you."
"I am not under your jurisdiction."
"I am under Common Law jurisdiction."
"I am a living man/woman and I stand under Common Law."
"If you unlawfully detain or arrest me, I will hold you personally responsible for the distress caused to me. May I have your name, badge number and address please?"

⁣Or turn it around on errant officers. They know what our rights are but will ignore them. They love seeing frightened public jumping to their orders. Don't be afraid; you have not committed any crime. Remember to start video or sound recording as soon as you see them approaching you.

If they accuse you of doing something wrong and order you to comply, give a polite smile and say, "Thank you for the info, officer. Noted." Then go back to what you were doing.

They will repeat whatever they said. Say, "I heard you, officer. Thanks again for the info. Now please leave me in peace." Smile and say nothing else.

They will repeat their 'orders' again or may say something provocative. Tell them calmly, "Officer, I am not a kid nor am I senile. I heard you the first time. If you are going to repeat it 3, 4, 5, 6 times, you are harassing me. Please leave me in peace. Thank you."

They will either repeat their 'orders' yet again or start arguing that 'everyone is doing it/ has to do it/ it's the law/ etc'. This time, tell them, "You are now harassing me. You are making me extremely upset and distressed. If you do not stop harassing me and leave me in peace, I will file harassment charges against you. May I have your name and badge number please?" They are obliged to give their data because they are in uniform and on duty.

Tell them once more to stop harassing you and to leave you in peace, or you will file harassment charges against them. In law, things work in threes. If you tell someone to cease and desist three times (must be recorded) and he still doesn't stop, then it confirms he did do whatever you are accusing him of and he can be found guilty.

If they don't back off at this point, go to the police station as soon as you can to make a police report about the conduct of the offending officer. Then with the police report, file a Magistrate's Complaint/ Citizen's Complaint with the state courts. You don't need a lawyer but you have to pay filing fees. He/She will be charged under their own laws, under the harassent/ intimidation act. You need to find out the name and section number of the relevant act in order to file the court papers. In your filing, ask for monetary damages for the harassment and distress caused to you by the officer and his actions. Don't bother asking for him/her to be sacked; just focus on the damages. Once the police report is filed, the local police officers will stay away from you.

Needless to say, make sure you have a recording of the entire incident. Or of any exchange/incident with police officers, security, store staff, etc. To be fair, there are officers who are reasonable and understanding of people's rights and who will not harass you.

We need to get the wording right when talking to cops. They swear an oath under common law to the queen to protect our freedoms and rights and protect us from harm and loss. Acts and Regulations only have the power of law with our CONSENT. If police want to step outside of common law and enforce legislation which has not been consented by the people, they are no longer under oath or protected by their uniform. If you are threatened by arrest, inform them they are breaching their oath and will be held personally responsible for their actions in a court of law.
