⁣So poignant. So sad. And yet, so sweet! I wonder if Farah has heard of Sain Zahoor? I think he speaks Punjabi. He plays a lute, the ektara or tumbi, which has a very hypnotic sound. I love the guttural sound of the language, the way he spits out words which I can only transcribe in English. Barzaad is one of the words. Daayhaari is another. I think the Indian seer, Anandamayi Ma,was also a Punjabi speaker but from a different religious tradition than Sain Zahoor.
