Surely it can't be that difficult to find out who paid for them, who built them, who maintains them, who owns them and the land they're on. Or, is it just nice to talk about them as a 'mystery' that is open to all sorts of speculation. The same nonsense as the pyramids, crop circles and the Turin shroud was. No facts, just dramatic speculation... fame and money can be sqeezed out of a good mystery.

So on first impression you might think you look through the hole to see a particular star when in fact it might be blood on tap? very interesting. I can imagine all the elites and crazies with more money than sense standing underneath with their goblets ...or maybe they bathe in it? but then I guess the ground would have trace evidence too.

A more plausible explanation for the blood (if it is) on the horizontal capping stone, is that birds of prey use it as a convenient platform to consume their quarry.
