Are you 18 years old or above?

I heard from one of my friend the Earth is triangle. But my personal opinion, the Earth is square.
I laughed so hard when you said that. You have a definite and probably God-given gift for humour. (NOT.)
if it isnt a globe small buildings wouldnt be out of sight as tall buildings are visible going away at sea. flat earth tard.
Height of anything still is a matter of perspective. Shorter buildings appear smaller than larger buildings even farther away. Imagine that...
The only tard around here is you. Surely you understand that a small object always disappears before a large object? For example, when you look at a faraway mountain, do you see the people climbing up its sides? really, you are very stupid.
@Tim Webb: it is a matter of a straight line douchebag
@WmA : have you ever heard of binoculars ? The smaller object could be magnified IF IT WERE IN SIGHT !
Yes, I have heard of binoculars. I've even heard of the P-900 camera, which has an excellent digital magnification ability. When it's used - guess what? Correct.
Let's try and make this super easy for you to understand. There is a thing called "perspective", and you see it when looking at a line of telegraph poles as they go away from you; the further away from you they are, the smaller they seem to be. With me so far? Good. So there is a point where they are so far away, that they seem to have disappeared altogether - but if you were to walk towards the most distant ones, they would rear up again, so they haven't actually disappeared, they must have just gradually shrunk towards what is known as the vanishing point, ie the size where they are no longer resolvable by the eye. But obviously enough, something taller than a telegraph pole would need to be somewhat further away before it shrunk to this size, so using your example of two buildings, one short and one tall, we see that the small one will disappear before the tall one. So two buildings, one short and one tall, may well be standing next to each other, but at a certain distance the small one will have disappeared although you can still see the tall one. The small one though will reappear if you magnify the image, using your binoculars.
@Tim Webb: you should change your name to Bernie Lomax
@WmA : My name is not important either way. What is important is the facts I have laid out before you.
A bloke down Pub, told me its round!!!!
I know the earth is round for two reasons, firstly, I read it in a science book, and secondly, Neil de grasse tyson said it was round - pear-shaped, actually. And I know that anybody who wears a masonic waistcoat can always be relied upon to be telling the truth.
he was looking at the barmaid, not telling you anything about the shape of the earth.
I believe the earth is round because I live next to Lake Michigan. On the beach I can see a tower. Moving further away and up a dune I can see all the buildings next to it. So much for the vannishing point BS
You live across the water from Muskegon which was on my Bucket List of places to visit - massive Buster fan here. and yes I too believe the Earth is round I've seen it from the ISS cameras.
@HazyDaisy: I expect you also saw the air bubbles rising up past the windows in the ISS too. People are very easily fooled.
By going further away and up a dune, you effectively increase the angle between your eyes and the vanishing point, so objects which were obscured come into view. Whether you like it or not, simple optics confirms that there is a vanishing point, which gets closer to the eye the smaller the object is. Thus the VP for a mountain peak is a long way away, but the VP for a person is much closer to you. So I suggest you think about the things you believe a bit more before commenting.
@Tim Webb: I've seen the ISS pass overhead with my own eyes. It is not somewhere underwater.
@HazyDaisy: You cannot see a small object that is 250 miles away. You may have seen something, but it wasn't the ISS. If you check, there is a layer of the atmosphere called the thermosphere, and it is thousands of degrees C, so if the ISS was orbiting in it, as they claim, it would burn up, and everything inside it would be incinerated. It's all a hoax.
@Tim Webb: Here is a link, explaining. https://scied.ucar.edu/shortco....ntent/thermosphere-o Note, the temperature can range from 500'C to 2000; C - this is where you think the ISS is sitting. Note also that they say in the article that thermal expansion will cause satellites to slow down and fall from orbit - so why is the ISS still happily sitting up there? There are never any reports of "Boosters being fired" etc, to re-position it higher up. You are being deceived, as with all of NASA's activities. NASA is simply a branch of Hollywood.
The most dangerous weapon known to man sits in the corner, watching you watching me
This is so true. The TV controls our perceptions if we allow it to, so we no longer see the world through our eyes, but through the lens of what somebody else wants us to see. Think of the TV as a pair of spectacles which we are all made to wear, and through which we are deceived about literally everything.
@Tim Webb: Yeah been trying to get through to my mother but alas its all real because the hospitals are full lol.. How does she know the TV and I don't know what's going on because I don't watch it.. She started waking up when it started, watched that out out of shadows.. But its much easier not to be an individual and follow the herd
