As someone who used to program big computers that filled a room, I'm totally disappointed in what the internet has become. I would be quite happy to ditch this computer and live without the internet. My grandkids are addicted to social media and online games, my daughters thumb messages like old telegraph machines, google and their idiot friends censor information, etc. I've never had a cell phone and so I don't miss it a bit. I'd be quite happy to cancel my internet, hook up my old HD hanger antenna, and assume that everything I hear on the news is false. Then go out in the garden and grow my own food.
