Fantastic show this week x
i am very interested in the mindsets of people and this last section with Rebecca was so helpful. I have Two very prominent Marcissistic family members . They make life hell for any and all who get in their way. One of them i cant have any interactik s with, she isnt capable of having any females in her life. I keep my children away from them at all costs as they are so spitefilled and nastiness has no bounds. However we have minimal contact with the other. As he has a great mind and is gifted with free thinking mind. The problem is he is also very similar to our sister. He seems to get to a point (only sometimes) where he can reel himself back in and grab a focus instead of the costant torrent of mental and verbal abuse which just emanates from him. The control that rhey need is draining. It came tk a head for myself and kids a few years ago now, so i devised a plan for when we bump into these family members. We have to kind of be a bit 'pokerface' so as to limit them from draining us. also to halt or bring awareness to any attempts by them to draw us in.
Its exhausting ...
They play the victim so well , and are such disturbed people i distance myself from them. Thats an awful thing to HAVE to do. Thankyou so much for having this lady on.

57m20s - Why intellectuals rarely make good leaders 'cause there's the kicker, even knowing what he knows he still wears a mask in the supermarket for fear of inciting a confrontation. Advice and a rhetorical question Austen; to the first: grow a pair and secondly I'd make the observation; if you can't handle a simple one on one with some random, ill informed civilian what use will you be if asked to man the barricades? The hell with what someone might say. I called this as bullshit from day one and I've point blank refused to comply with a single part of this nonesense and yes I've had a few passing comments but god help 'em if they choose to pursue the issue beyond my initial reply along the lines of "... so don't even fucking think about it mate!"... they soon melt when I launch into a five minute fact bomb!

And the cows go mooo
And the sheep go baaaah

On cognitive dissonance - Case in point -
Our lead guitarist was always one for conspiracies, flat Earthing, no
moon shot, we're all alien spawn yada yada... and he'll buy endless
books on it but his paranoia and urge to comply has been a real shock as he's generally a deeply cynical old hippy spouting about "freeeeduummm" and government control but ... when I sent him a link to Doc Coleman's take apart on
the ConVid scam (a genuine real time conspiracy) he refused even to look at it - classic cognitive dissonance.
Need more of Mr. Moore Sonya.

re Austen Moore on the CoVid con - I forget who said it but "It's easier to fool someone than convince them they've been fooled".
