Jennifer Thomas, an assistant professor of broadcast journalism at Howard University's Cathy Hughes School of Communications shares five tips for identifying fake news.
For the past two years, Thomas served in the Media Speaker Program sponsored by the United States Department of State and the U.S Embassy in South Africa, and Nigeria for Media Freedom Week. Recently, she was awarded “Teacher of the Year” by the Scripps Howard Foundation in partnership with the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (AEJMC).
